The company’s Flexible Track Scanner is an inspection tool that is intended to analyze both linear and circumferential welding lines. The system is designed to be used on large diameter aluminum cylinders, such as gas pipelines.

Inspectors use pneumatic suction cups, allowing them to position the guide track on both curved and straight surfaces. Once in place, the system is securely fixed through the use of a foot-operated vacuum valve switch box.
Additionally, the operators can use the included carriage assembly, which is designed to slide onto the track before locking into a particular position. This gives the operator the ability to leave the scanner without fearing that the scanner will fall. There are two interlocking sections of track which encourage continuous inspection. For this to happen, the scanners would have to be alternated between the full weld extent.
Operators can also rotate the carriage so that the opposite side of the well can also be analyzed. It’s possible to do this while leaving the track in pace.
